Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how NETponents LLC (operating as RockyDJ) (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a B2B and B2C Software as a Service (SaaS) provider operating in Michigan, USA, collects, uses, and discloses information from users of our service (“Users”) and individuals who interact with our system through our Users’ “pipelines” and “tickets.”
- Scope and Geographic Limitation
This policy applies solely to individuals and entities in the United States. We do not currently accept customers or intentionally target services outside of the United States.
- Information We Collect
We collect information directly from you, automatically as you use our services, and from third parties.
A. Information You Provide Directly
This information is primarily collected when you sign up for an account, subscribe to a plan, or engage in an enterprise contract.
Account and Contact Data: Email address, country of operation, and contact information for the primary account holder.
Commercial Use and Rights Data: Information related to confirming your ownership or right to use any uploaded soundfont or sound clip files, including responses to requests for documentation.
Communication Data: Information related to technical, legal, or financial issues, which may include communication via email or phone.
B. Information Collected for Billing and Finance
We utilize a third-party payment processor, Stripe, to manage billing. We do not directly store full payment card details. Stripe, on our behalf, collects and retains the following for the purpose of processing payments:
Billing address.
IP address.
Other information required for payment processing, security, and fraud prevention.
C. Usage, Operational, and Log Data
We automatically collect information about how you and parties utilizing your generated “tickets” interact with our services.
Pipeline and Service Usage Data: Details regarding the creation, modification, and activation of your rules-based sound generation “pipelines.”
Ticket Request Data: Log data related to requests made to your “ticket” URLs, which are used to play the audio generated by your pipeline.
System Monitoring Data: GeoIP and IP address data is collected and retained for a period we deem necessary to monitor system usage, detect and prevent abuse, and protect the security of our services and other users.
Analytics Data: Data collected via Google Analytics regarding your use of our websites and platform.
D. User Content
“User Content” refers to all data and assets created, uploaded, or generated by Users through their use of the service. This includes, but is not limited to:
Pipeline Logic: The logic and rules configured in sound generation “pipelines.”
Input Files: Uploaded input files, such as soundfont files and sound clip files.
Generated Audio: The audio streams or files generated by the execution of a User’s pipeline through “ticket” requests.
This User Content is stored on our systems and may be reviewed by us for the purpose of providing the sound generation service and monitoring for abuse or copyright issues.
- How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
Service Provision: To operate, maintain, and provide the core functions of the SaaS, including managing user accounts, enabling the creation and execution of pipelines, and fulfilling ticket requests.
Billing and Account Management: To process subscriptions, usage-based billing, and enterprise contracts via Stripe.
Communication: To contact you via email or phone to resolve technical issues, address legal inquiries, discuss financial or billing matters, or to request demonstration of commercial rights regarding User Content.
Security, Integrity, and Abuse Prevention: To monitor system quality and usage. We reserve the right to use GeoIP and IP address data to throttle or ban Users who are impacting service quality, abusing our systems, or presenting a legal/security threat to our operations.
User Content Review: To review User Content for compliance with our Terms of Service, including monitoring for abuse, enforcing technical limitations, and investigating potential copyright or intellectual property violations.
Analytics and Improvement: To understand and analyze how you use our services and to improve the functionality and user experience of our platform.
- Disclosure of Information
We will not sell or rent your personal information. We only share information in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers: We share necessary information with trusted third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as Stripe for payment processing and Google Analytics for web analytics. These parties are contractually obligated to use your data only for the purposes of providing services to us.
Legal Compliance and Protection: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal processes (e.g., a subpoena), protect and defend the rights or property of NETponents LLC (operating as RockyDJ), or protect the safety of our Users or the public.
Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your personal information may be transferred as a business asset.
- Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide you with services. We will also retain and use your information, including system monitoring data (GeoIP, IP addresses), for an extended period as we see fit to comply with our legal obligations, enforce our agreements, and monitor for and prevent abuse of our systems.
- Data Security
We implement technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the information we collect. These measures include using encryption (such as SSL) for data transmission and storage, and implementing access controls. Access to User Content and other personal information by our employees is strictly controlled and limited to what is necessary for providing services, monitoring system performance, and preventing abuse.
- Children’s Privacy
Our service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal information from a user under the age of 13, we will delete the information and the corresponding account in accordance with our terms of service.
- Your Rights
As we operate solely in the United States, we comply with relevant U.S. state and federal laws. We commit to responding to requests for data access, correction, or deletion. Users can submit such support requests, including data rights requests, to support@netponents.com. We aim to respond to all valid requests within seven (7) days of receipt.
- Do Not Track Disclosure
Do Not Track (DNT) is a privacy preference that users can set in certain web browsers. Please note that we do not currently respond to or take any action with respect to DNT browser signals or other mechanisms that automatically communicate your choice not to be tracked online, as these headers are deprecated and there is no universal industry standard for how to interpret them.
